There was an error on my account so I visit this branch to fix it. Instead, I was met with suspicion and doubt. As a customer, I should have heard "thanks for coming in today. there appears to be an error on your account. let's try to fix it." Instead, I heard "where did you get this money?"
Branch personnel have been fine, but the business model of BMO is very poor. They want to verify a check after they cashed it (& indicate it’s available), and won’t provide details. For some reason this process takes 14-30 days in which they will not provide any information.
BMO took a perfectly good bank and destroyed it I was with Bank of the West for 25 years and they were excellent. Then BMO took it over and turned it into a dumpster of service, utility, and quality. Half the time I tried to log into my account online I received an error message. The times I am able to log in, I am immediately logged back out. Update 1/27/2024 New owners - BMO - Huge Improvement I recommend the new bank owners staff based on one visit. Changed from 1 star to 4 star review. Very friendly staff. Plenty of parking. Easy to accommodate my requests. Recommended! ********************************************* All my other updates below are chronological and based on Bank of the West brand and managers.
