Recently BMO sold several locations to First Citizens Bank. I originally had an account with BMO (from Wyoming) which would be impacted by this sell. To avoid this transitions, the folks in the Fort Collins office said if I opened an account with them, it would be exempt of the transfer. That was not the case. It is Incredibly frustrating to be receive misinformation from BMO, as I currently do not have access to my fund. They dont call you back when you call to provide feedback about their policies. They also restrict your money very heavily. For example, the max ATM withdrawal is $1,000
Just going to add to how crappy this bank is. Took a check in to cash with a verifiable funds number on the front and they refused to cash it and deposit will take days before it's available.... Yet I walked into Canvas with a friend that had an account and signed it over to him and OMG GUESS WHAT,,, they cashed it. Yet my own bank with my account wouldn't do jack to help me.
