7-day mandatory hold on a cashier's check is ridiculous in 2024. I sent a picture of the check ahead of time and they said the funds were good. They've been sitting on it for 4 days now it's still won't be available until the mandatory 7 days. I have been with this bank by no choice since I was 13 living in Lee's Summit. It's changed names several times and now it might be time for me to change. Excellent customer service! I was having trouble with an account and Liz S. went above and beyond to ensure my issue was resolved! She was kind, thorough, and understanding--I appreciated her help very much!
The experience with this Lees Summit location has been very challenging. I just do not go into this branch. Also my daughter banks here and notified her account manager that she was bringing in a settlement check. The check is a local check from her attorney. When my daughter presented the check at the branch she encountered the bm, whom my daughter stated was rude and closed off from the beginning.
