BMO moves in SLO*MO. I can sell investments faster than I can move cash at BMO. Payments to my credit card take seven days when I send them from BMO, whereas they take just one day when I send them from Chase. Zelle from BMO to Chase can take several days, whereas from Chase to BMO Zelle is instantaneous. Money is better kept elsewhere.
BMO has not met my expectations. I opened a new account and deposited money after moving to the US. I attempted to purchase a car and found that I was unable to perform a wire transfer because my account had not been open for 60 days, despite having sufficient funds. Nowhere was this stated as a stipulation or rule. What's the point of depositing money if you can't use it?
