I have been banking with this institution for over 10 years and have generally had a positive experience. However, during a recent visit, I felt uncomfortable with how a routine transaction was handled. Very hostile, the manager interrupted my interaction with the teller, inserting herself unnecessarily. I was making $150 deposit of a check to an account I didn't sign on. Never had a problem with depositing before, weird.
Closed account after 19 years. Refused to notorize settlement offer from state farm for lawsuit I filed over a car accident.
It was very disheartening to receive a letter from Consumer Diligence stating that the Bank of Texas had decided to end our financial relationship. I was taken aback as my account was never overdrawn, I had not written one bounced check, and my account was always funded. I reached out to the number provided on the letter, but to no avail. This is absolutely the worst banking experience I have ever had - staff are incompetent and systems are faulty and not secure.
