Dreadful service and products on offer. Used to be excellent but in recent years the service has declined significantly. Getting rid of relationship managers has led to us switching loans to another bank where we do have a relationship manager.
I am incredibly frustrated and disappointed with my recent experience involving Bank of Melbourne and Resimac dodgy lending company they switched me to. Without properly informing me or offering a clear explanation, I was moved over to a different lending provider, and since then it’s been nothing but a nightmare. Now, I’m being told that I haven’t been making my loan payments — even though I have clear evidence in my bank statements that payments have been made consistently and on time. Bank of Melbourne has the worst call centre customer service, ignorant and careless. Might as well cut cost and move your call centres to the Philippines or India, at least people there appreciate their jobs.
the staff are utterly incompetent & overwhelmed at managing even the most basic of teller functions. one of the slowest banks I've had to deal with. waited at the teller for over 2.5hrs to close an account as the phone banking person said it could not be done over the phone, only for the bank teller to make a phone call to some call line and wait on hold and then completed the step on the phone.
