Any time my sister in law writes me a check, the bank calls to verify if I’m allowed to cash a check. It is NOT bank policy. It makes you feel like you’ve done something wrong every time. It’s beyond embarrassing to stand there and have a check that’s been signed by the account owner and I have valid ID every time. Can not stand this bank.
