The branch closes ridiculously early, at 3 p.m., which makes it almost impossible for working people to get service. The service attitude is very poor, the process is disorganized and confusing, and there are no real benefits for customers. They impose random restrictions on your account, and everything is outdated — still relying on handwritten paper forms like it’s the last century. Totally inconvenient and frustrating experience.

I asked my mom to wire some fund from China to me in the US. The Local BOC has given her a real hard time. She has visited that BOC branch five times. Every time they gave a different excuse not to wire the funds. It has been very frustrating. Do not trust your money with BOC!!!
