Horrible bank and whoever the “woman in the back office” is that doesn’t want to communicate with customers needs to improve her customer service skills. I never had issues with disputing charges that I haven’t made with you all before (this is the third time that I’ve had to dispute anything btw) until now, y’all are giving me the run around instead of helping me dispute charges to my account that I have not made! Will be looking for a new bank tomorrow.
After moving here a year ago, my wife and I decided it was time to open a local checking and savings account. I have many fond memories of visiting my grandparents in Buchanan, so naturally we chose Bank of Botetourt. Sara provided exceptional customer service, was extremely personable, professional and made a rather mundane task rather enjoyable.

I was called at 3 PM on a payday Friday and told my debit card was canceled due to a vague “tip” that a merchant I may have used in the past could potentially cause an issue in the future. There was no fraud, no unusual activity, and no actual problem on my account — and I hadn’t used the card for any recent purchases that would justify concern.
