Went to open a rep/dedicated payee account for ssi and was given some misleading information that I thought I should share. When opening this kind of account ssi warns that absolutely NO deposits should be made into this account what so ever. However, the teller will prompt you to submit documents through a system as well as submit a $100 deposit to open. Do not do that. As I stated before you are not suppose to so be careful when proceeding as it can be very misleading or to those seeking this sort of account.
