I am a small business owner and long time BoA business customer. The branch had 2 staff members in during the daytime. counter clerk did not seem to be aware of a policy and asked the lady at the front greeting. She was apparently the manager of "everything" as i asked to see the business accounts manager, the store manager and also the financial services manager - to which she claimed she was all of them. I attempted to cash a valid, negotiable check and the branch manager handwrote “RTM” (Return to Maker) on the check without my request, rendering it non-negotiable. This caused the deposit to be reversed after it initially posted and delayed access to $17,000 in funds. This was not a teller mistake, it was a managerial error that directly caused financial disruption. I’ve been trying to schedule an appointment at the Richardson location with Sukurat, a banker I trust, but for some reason, her name completely disappeared from the list of available bankers. I even tried calling the number she gave me, but it wasn’t working. After some digging, I had to track her down on LinkedIn using her business card — and thankfully, she responded. I’m really disappointed with how frequently employees are moved around. I came in last week for an appointment to open a business account, only to find out that Sukurat, who was fantastic and made the process so easy previously when I opened my personal account, is no longer at this location. It’s not every day you find someone so competent in their job and who does it with so much grace and effortlessness — like they were born for this.
