I came here to cash a check that was drawn on this specific bank, yet I was still hit with a surprise $8 fee. The teller didn't even know if there would be a charge initially—he had to look it up and then tacked it on at the very last minute. It feels incredibly greedy to charge non-customers to cash your own checks, especially when banks make money in plenty of other ways. To make matters worse, there was only one teller available.
