First time in this particular Banana Republic and I was completely ignored. I don’t care if you’re not going to talk to me but I was seriously interested in buying some clothes and actually needed a little help. Anyways, I spent my money elsewhere. Just be prepared to be ignored.
Extremely offputting customer service. It’s one thing to not get a hi or hello by any of the 5 employees working the floor of an empty store at a given time, but it’s another to give very standoffish glares when just asking for a size of an item. Became even more apparent of who they do decide to give the time of day the longer I stayed in the store.
I had the same experience as Mallory below - completely, actively ignored by employees while wanting to try on several things. They would talk amongst themselves in the corner while I walked back and forth from the fitting rooms to clothes I found to try on (and limited sizes to choose from up front). Based on a customer service. Employees are very very rude. Hope they get new employees and train them properly. Based on this visit didn’t wanna purchase anything. I’ll just get it online i guess.
I love Banana Republic but it is sad that the employees at this location prejudge you and provide different levels of service based on their perception of your ability to make purchases. Twice we have been treated differently or rudely by employees, including today when one employee refused to tell us information about a product and implied it wouldn’t work for us anyways. Love to window shop at this location but will be making purchases online to avoid giving commission to employees who don’t want to be polite or helpful.
