Whether your child is on the recreational or professional track, Ballet Southwest Academy provides a wonderful experience and a nurturing environment. In my experience, Lisl McDonald is a wonderful teacher and is very qualified for her position, having danced professionally in some of the best ballet companies. She is kind, and cares about each child and their success. The children always come out with bright and smiling faces and are always excited and happy to go into class. The productions are very professional and the children are well-rehearsed and very prepared to go out on stage. Overall a wonderful place! I would recommend Ballet Southwest Academy to everyone!

I agree with Roxanne. Lisl McDonald is a high strung lady and a poor dance instructor. I have picked up my child who burst into tears on multiple occasions after attending class. The woman puts on a good face to the parents but often yells at the children and goes as far as calling them names and putting them down behind closed doors. She charges an obscene amount of money for children to be in her performances and her ballet instruction is outdated and classically incorrect.
