TERRIBLE QUALITY CONTROL AND ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. I received two separate items in Order #b4627175158 that were defective/misrepresented, and Backcountry has repeatedly refused to offer a fair resolution, despite knowing I am stuck outside the US. Black Diamond Trail Back Poles: Arrived used, without original Black Diamond packaging, missing winter baskets, and heavily defective at the tips (worse than the photos show). Stopped by yesterday looking to try on jackets for the season. Limited selection in person considering how much they have online. My family was in there for a solid 30 minutes (the only customers) and the 3 employees continued to hold their personal conversation at the front desk amongst themselves, and literally never even acknowledged us in the store. I work in the ski industry, and this kind of employee attitude is the only reason I feel compelled to write a review… please have a LITTLE pride in your job…
Horrible customer service. I ordered an Arete Sling 8L Hydration Pack, which was supposed to come with a water bottle. The water bottle was missing when it was delivered. Customer service wanted me to return it, then they’d send me a new one with the bottle, but they said that since they didn’t have the color I had ordered (black), they’d have to send me a different color, and charge me $15-$20 more since that color was more expensive.
