Leigh Anne was the only professional midwife I dealt with during my care at Baby+Co. She was very informative and made sure to follow up with clear messages or phone calls regarding a problem I had. Other midwives/staff I met weren't as caring or informative, acted as if I wasn't important enough to give the time of day. Felt very rushed during every appointment. The staff made this the most pleasant expericance imagineable! My wife and I had our second child here and the 1st in a hospital this was night and day difference and for the better! Everyone was so helpful and honest and relaxed and my wife enjoyed her pregnancy and delivery a million times more just due to the nature of the birth center and it’s staff and it was even amazing for me as a dad. I never felt like I got to know any of the midwives well enough. I had my last visit with them at 31 weeks pregnant, I lost my son at 36 weeks and 3 days. People kept asking if I was going to the clinic weekly yet and I wasn’t.. I feel I should have been, if not at least seeing them every two weeks since 28 weeks of pregnancy. While I was there they did not have an ultrasound tech, so I only received one ultrasound at another office they work with, which is normal in a healthy pregnancy (which I had). On the website, baby and co boasts low cesearan rates. Initially I was very impressed. However, on further inspection, the cesearan rates are only low due to the exclusivity of patients allowed in the office. Picking and choosing which low-risk patients (probably those most likely to have successful vaginal births) is not the same as actually reducing the cesearan rate.
