4 years ago I changed my rear differential gears in my 2015 RAM 3500 Cummins SRW from 3.42 to 4.10. It was the right decision. I, Andy's Trenching, tow 80-90% of the time( about 9k lbs daily and 12k travel trailer). With the travel trailer, the trans would oscillate between 5th and 6th gear. It doesn't now. It has more power in the lower end to get you going and the high end is still fine. I believe I get 20% more power and 5% less mpgs. We did not change the computer, just the gear change-out.
