DO NOT BOOK AVIS – Very Disappointing Experience I had a very disappointing experience with Avis and would strongly advise others to avoid booking with them. My mom was supposed to pick us up from Gold Coast Airport, but due to an emergency she couldn’t make it. Since we had several pieces of luggage and taking the train wasn’t practical, we decided to rent a car from Avis at Gold Coast Airport and return it the same day at Brisbane Airport. Less than average. Emailed customer service for clarification and was told to wait atleast 10 business days. Gave me an estimated total for care hire and doubled it. They don’t seem to include “premium location pickup fees in their estimates”.
