The Avis 800 number is outsourced to another country whose service representatives are not aware of the American with Disabilities ( ADA) Act. I called the 800 number to inquire about the availability of a vehicle which had a lower threshold because one of the members of my party has a disability which prevents them from stepping over a high threshold. Simple rental, but unclear about how much I was being charged. Over 36 hours later and they still cannot tell me how much I'm being charged or was. Though they have my card on file. Don't I need to authorize the amount being put through on my card. They originally told me $31, but had the wrong Times listed in their computers and not a single person since I dropped it off can tell me how much. Frustrating
