So disappointed with the Avis Atlanta, Peachtree Street.  There was an enormous queue to pick up the car in the blazing sun. Family members seeking shelter from the sun were shouted at to leave the so called shaded employee designated area with no alternatives provided. There was no proactive customer service. What an absolute disgrace of a company. Never again will I use Avis.

Reserved and prepaid a compact SUV nearly 3 months in advance for a family vacation. I received confirmation emails the day before pickup, then suddenly got a voicemail from this location saying they did not have a vehicle available for me. When I contacted the office, I was told to start calling other local Avis locations myself to try to find a vehicle. None had availability. The gal at the Avis Shreveport Airport desk on 3/21/26 & 3/26/26 was terrific – very kind, helpful, & professional. It’s the franchise owner who may be the problem. All the cars they get have black interiors. If you are over 40 it’s hard to see inside a car with black interiors, especially at night when you’re trying to operate the controls. It’s dangerous, so customers should be give more options. And on Thursday 3/26 when my Corolla “froze” & the ignition would not turn on while I was racing to my return flight, I cal... read more

I worked with David at the Massapequa location. I found David to be very friendly and knowledgeable. He was quite patient with my questions. I would recommend Avis in Massapequa without hesitation.

Returned vehicle at 10AM (was due at 12 noon), no employees in the return lot or at the counter. Put the keys and a copy of the rental agreement in the dropbox , with a note showing the spot # where I parked it. Went through security and my flight left at 11:15AM. Received my receipt that said I didn't return the car until 4PM. (Was already back in FL by then) They charged me an extra day ($59.95) and a $15.00 late fee Tried numerous times to straighten this out with Customer Service (horrible). to no avail. Made a reservation months ago, to pick up a car on Oct. 23rd at New Bedford airport. Location was closed and had been since Oct. 18th. THAT'S 5 DAY'S and NOT ONE email or phone call alerting us to the closer. I was informed by the custodian that the closest alternative was Middletown RI. You can see other reviews with similar situations. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. You never let your customers know you were going to be closed. We leased a midsized upgraded sedan 3 months in advance for our trip to Buffalo, NY from Avis at the Buffalo Airport. When we completed the check in and got down to the garage with our luggage Frank gave us the keys to a very dirty, car with foam upholstery that reeked of cigarette smoke. When we asked him for another vehicle, he told us he would not do that and if we wouldn’t take this car after he “sprayed it”, our only choice was to go upstairs and cancel it and he would not rent us another car from Avis. I recently returned a car to this location that I have been renting from for several years now. Jordan has always been kind, courteous and professional. Upon returning the car they could not issue me a receipt because they were having computer and printer issues. I later checked my email and had a receipt and noticed I was overcharged from the original price I locked in on. I printed my receipt and took it back to the Avis office.
