Terrible experience at the Lower Manhattan Avis. Waited 45 minutes because both attendants were gone to the “store.” When they finally returned, no apology—one was even eating while checking me in. The car I received was dirty inside and out with coffee and food stains. When I asked for another car, the attendant (Michael) was rude, dismissive, and even told my wife, “Why am I even talking to you?”—a completely offensive and sexist remark. Terrible experience. We reserved cars in advance, but when we arrived, they told us none were available. The staff member was extremely rude, offered no apology, and acted like it was our fault. After a heated exchange, we were reluctantly given two smaller cars than what we had booked. We had to drive to another location to exchange them. He also refused to let us speak to the manager. Completely unprofessional—would not recommend.
