I had a car reservation booked weeks in advance. But no cars available when I got there. Two other people also missing their reaervation. A couple hours of very anxious waiting filie to my plans and kids stranded. They did eventually get me a car. No customer entrance or office. You have to walk down the driveway. No waiting area.

horrible experience. rented a truck specifically, they had no trucks at the location. that was the first issue. the main problem: no chip readers or pin pads at this location, we couldn’t actually rent a car here at all, they made us uber to their 64th st location where they have chip readers and pin pads. shitty shitty shitty garage. $80 dollars on ubers down the drain having to go up and down manhattan.

Terrible experience at the Lower Manhattan Avis. Waited 45 minutes because both attendants were gone to the “store.” When they finally returned, no apology—one was even eating while checking me in. The car I received was dirty inside and out with coffee and food stains. When I asked for another car, the attendant (Michael) was rude, dismissive, and even told my wife, “Why am I even talking to you?”—a completely offensive and sexist remark.
