I recently booked an Avis rental through the Uber Vehicle Marketplace at a confirmed weekly rate of $293. However, when I contacted the Avis location, I was first told that no cars were available, and later informed that the cost would be over $370, far above my confirmed booking price. As a frequent Avis customer all over the world I have a wide basis of comparison and this location is definitely -- by far -- the best in the Arlington-DC area and one of the best anywhere. Great staff who provide friendly service. Shout out to TJ and Mia and the crew! In my experience, this location has the cars they say they have. The car they rented me had a strong odor when I got in. I didn't initially realize it was from someone smoking, but I soon found a pack of cigarettes and a lighter in the passenger door. This made the day renting the car very unpleasant. When picking up the car, the manager personally drove the car to me, which indicates that he did not care at all when renting out the vehicle.
