Terrible Location - Inconsistencies I’ve been a Preferred Member with Avis for years and am even a former employee, so I know exactly how the rental and return process works. Unfortunately, my recent experience at this small Avis location was beyond frustrating and left me feeling completely taken advantage of. Everything seemed fine when I returned my rental. Would give it less if I could. Had a family emergency and needed a rental car for my parents. Over priced, i asked for a compact car and got conformation on it. When I arrived they had none and give them an suv, ok fine was going to return it to Tampa Airport they said fine no extra charge but plans changed and my parents didn't fly out of Tampa so when they return it to the place we rented it they charged them an extra 318.00 unacceptable talk about a hidden charge. Its ok. Reserved a small car got an suv so that was nice. I got "insurance" in the booking app amd they charged me more for insurance there ;
