If you want to have the worst customer service experience rent from Avis in Newington, CT. Otherwise run run away. Have rented there several times in the past due to location convenience. Every rental there is always an issue. Cars are often dirty, low on gas, and often smell like illegal drugs. This past rental was the last straw. I will never rent from this location again. Could not have gone smoother. The woman who checked me in was very nice, had me out the door in a minute. Avis in general was great. Car was spotless.
Poor customer service
Reserved a car months in advance and never got it, when I went in I was met by a manager “Lisa” yelling at what looked like a young trainee. She was also rude to me as well. Awful place. Taking my business to enterprise
Joy was a joy to work with when I picked the car. I gave them 5*. On my return I had a bad experience. JFK gave me the car which had a slow leak in one of the tires. I had to inflate three times during my drive back of 120 miles in 3 hours. I reported it during my return so that next customer doesn't face inconvenience. Avis is charging me for repairs instead compensating me for the inconvenience they caused. And on top of it, they charged me for an extra day - probably when they were getting it fixed. Oh boy.
