Our flight got delayed and we attempted to call Avis customer service and the office more than 20 times. No answer and customer service was completely unhelpful. Rental car services should answer the phones because flights can be delayed or cancelled, or plans might change. This was completely unacceptable and the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a rental car service, and we haven’t even picked up the car! No one is answering the phone at the HPN counter. They are actually disconnecting the call after a couple of rings (tried multiple times). Need to confirm they have the car I reserved before wasting time going to the airport. Corporate says they can't confirm if I will get the car I reserved, then they say the car is there. I am expecting a total nightmare when I arrive.
I keep calling and someone keeps picking up and hanging up. I know because every time i called i counted the rings so they cannot say it's a machine
I initially received an upgrade from the vehicle type I had prepaid for, which seemed like a nice perk. However, the upgraded vehicle was not clean, and while it did have a full tank of gas at check-in, the lack of cleanliness was disappointing. Due to a delayed flight, it was nearly midnight by the time we left the airport, so I simply drove off the lot and planned to call to express my concerns later. Had my flight delayed I called ahead of time and they assured me no worries they will make sure there is a car for me but when I got there no one was there to pick up a car
