Very disappointed with Avis. After reserving a Jeep Wrangler SUV 3 weeks before we flew in for my family vacation to DB only to find out it wasn't available for me. I was told that even if you reserve a specific vehicle it means nothing when it comes to pick up. I was given a chevy equinox crossover, which I was not able to take on the beach with my family. I recently had an experience at the Avis car rental location at Daytona Beach Airport that truly exceeded my expectations. I needed to swap out the vehicle I originally received because I travel with a small pet, and the car didn’t have remote start—which I rely on so I can keep the car running and locked when I need to make quick stops. I'm not totally sure if his name is Alex but avoid him. i REALLY hope hes not the manager. we went into his line because he was just standing there with no line meanwhile the other lady at the desk had a line of 12 people. he asked if we were preffered avis (which we are) its litteraly just a free account with avis... but because I booked through costco he told me I had to go to the end of the other line (assuming it was becuase through costco my avis number didn't show up) a simple search would have solved that... but he pu... read more
