My experience at the Owls Head location in July 2025 was appalling. I was forced to bring in an unsafe vehicle (broken seatbelt, holes in the upholstery, bald tires, no washer fluid, maintenance light on) that I rented from Avis in Portland, only to be told by staff that instead of replacing it, they could “push a button” to reset the light and send me back out in a car, with my two children, that could break down at any time. My husband and I had a paid reservation we had trouble with traffic on way so we arrives 10 min before close. The man ztarted out being very short and rude. He refused different credit cards all were acceptable. Ome being the one i paid online with. I made reservation but my husband would be the driver. He agaain refused. Said that because i made the reservation. I had to drive. I have no license. He went on to say " I dont need to jump throigh hoops to rent cars. I’d give it a 0 star if I could!!! The worst rental place I’ve ever dealt with. Told me I would get reimbursed for my security deposit I put down which I did but the next day they took it back and charged me even more!! They told me it was never taken out but I have proof on my bank statement that they did. They will not get away with this, I want my money back!!!

I am borderline disgusted by the incompetence and lack of professionalism…The woman at the front desk (Kathy) is committed to NOT helping you at ALL. Seems like she’s only there to dish out incredibly rude comments…I will continue to spread this word locally and recommend Enterprise in Thomaston. :) thanks!
