Cathy went above and beyond to resolve our complicated situation. We’ve rented cars from her at this location for years and would highly recommend.
I would not recommend this location. When I first picked up my rental, a couple came in to drop off their rental and politely noted that it had severe issues and might need to be taken out of the fleet for maintenance - the staff was very dismissive to their concerns. I should have known then that I would run into trouble. They then gave me a faulty vehicle that has a national recall out on it (which I didn’t realize at the time), which proceeded to malfunction about three hours into using it. This might have been one of my worst experiences with a rental car deal. First, I arrived about 45 minutes early than the rental agreement and was charged an hourly rate of $125 while the entire additional day rate is $166. Second, this was not explained fully to me by Kathy who checked it out. She seemed flustered when trying to process the car rental. Tiny but mighty. My hometown airport! It’s essentially a Cape Air terminal with a few Penobscot Island Air flights and a bit of private traffic. The staff are great and more than once Kim has called to warn me of flight delays later in the day and encouraged me to get there early so that she can put me on an earlier flight. It’s got o sweet little gift shop with local craftwork. A restaurant space that occasionally has a restaurant operator in it. But it’s always clean as a whistle.
