I'm torn in writing this review because Avis as a company at large has always been good to me. The staff members I've encountered are incredibly nice and trying their best in a situation that can't be easy- mainly poor Isaiah who is usually running a one man show when I'm in. All I can chalk this up to is poor management or communication from Avis main to this particular location. Cars are not always available when they say they are. Exceptional service from Mr. Ron Thomas at Avis Budget, 617 Airport Way, Modesto, CA. We rented a Malibu from different location that ran smoothly but had a strong, musky perfume scent. After driving to Modesto, we exchanged it the next morning for another Malibu. The exchange was seamless, but once home, we found a slash in a tire. We returned that day and met Mr. Ron Thomas. So we rented a car here on Thursday the 20 and they gave us a van that had a recall and on our way to the destination the vehicle stopped along the 99 freeway like 10 times putting us in dangerous spots thank God nobody rear ended us we had to get a tow truck and had to stay at a hotel so because of that we never made it to our destination on Friday and all of our plans got ruined I reached out to avis for compensation for our hotels gas money that was spent and nobody has reached out to me as of yet and to top it off the cu... read more

Called Avis number and reserved car. Went to rent car. NO CAR available. I’ve asked for reimbursements for my UBERS but I only get the silent treatment. Beware
