I rent at the Kenwood Avis location often (usually 2-3 times per month). The service is fantastic! Amanda is always friendly, and she gives me clean and nice cars. The entire process is simple and customer friendly. Thank you, Amanda! Thank you, Avis Kenwood!
I made a reservation over the phone and arrived to at least 4 more people waiting outside at a locked door, well before closing time. I was waiting for at least 10 minutes before an employee comes in. They make everybody wait another minute to then tell us that there are no cars available and offers absolutely no help to anyone. How do you rent cars to this many people and not have cars? Or not have an employee in the building during operating hours? I returned a car with a small amount of sand at the foot of the seats (no floor mats). They called me and said if I did not come to vacuum the sand up myself I would be charged $450 for a cleaning fee. The mess was in no way excessive. No trash. No smoking. No mud/dirt. No smudged windows. I drove 30 minutes to get there only to vacuum for less than 10 minutes to get the sand up. Worst experience , I have returned my vehicle in time but they didn't close my rental agreement and I can see below comments also they are charging extra amount similar happening to me by opening my rental agreement more than the time. Why avis is keeping these type of agents to make it's brand value low?
The man at the counter was snarky when I checked in and the car was dirty. I walked in the door to return the car and someone was vacuuming but never came to the front despite the incredibly loud doorbell
