I can confirm the horrible customer service at this location. My family almost certainly encountered the same representative behind the desk who displayed zero customer service skills or empathy. At one point she was sitting in the driver seat of the rental car looking at the mileage with the driver door wide open and she saw us approaching and closed the door. Terrible experience that is still ongoing. We won’t be renting again from this location or from Avis. Highly suggest avoiding this location.

I just had a terrible experience with Avis and will not be booking with them again. I reserved and paid in full for a minivan 10 days in advance, only to receive a call on the day of pickup informing me that no minivans were available. They offered no real attempt to help, and wouldn’t even check other nearby locations for me—just told me to call reservations myself. Absolutely abysmal service at the Avis desk inside the Bethesda Marriott. Our car had a problem, and when we asked for help the staff member on duty couldn’t have cared less—she was downright dismissive and rude. Not a hint of courtesy or basic competence. I’m done with Avis; they’ve given me zero reason to ever hand them my business again.

Terrible experience at pickup for my rental car. I had a reservation and still waited 45 minutes for the car to be ready. The assistant comes in at one point and tells the desk attendant there is another car all ready so she switched me over in the system and that took another 10 minutes. When I get to the car, although the inside is clean, the exterior has not been washed and it has 62,930 miles. I did not even know rental companies gave our cars with that much mileage.
