Very poor communication and service really ruined my plans for me and my family we really needed a rental for the weekend, showed up at 3 o’clock and was told there was no vehicles to be given at the moment even though I made reservations months in advance was told maybe I will get a call back before close, Instead of a call, I received a text, mind you I live almost 30 minutes away and was gonna be fighting traffic to get downtown. really disappointing lesson learned I’ll make multiple reservations in the future

Absolutely worst experience ever from start to well beyond finish. Booked an SUV for October. Our car wasn’t ready for 4 hours after our reservation. They kept saying they didn’t have a car available- even though the reservation was made well in advance. What is the point of a reservation if you don’t hold up your end of it? Also should have made arrangements to ensure you could fulfill the reservation. Once they finally got a car, it was a huge downgrade from the one we booked, as it was a sedan. We had a confirmed reservation with Avis to pick up a car. When we arrived, we were told the vehicle would not be available for at least an hour and that we needed to be placed on a waitlist. They could not guarantee when — or even if — we would receive a car. What was most disappointing was the attitude. The front desk agent and the manager seemed completely indifferent. I had a reservation with Avis that I booked online through Priceline for Saturday February 28 at 9:00. The address was 2 Canal street. When I couldn't locate the office, Avis customer service told me that it was located in the Four Seasons Hotel, but that they would only rent to hotel guests, which I was not. After lengthy discussion, Avis eventually offered to book another car at a different location (I was on foot) for twice the amount of my original confirmation. I declined.
