I booked a basic car through Expedia, but when I arrived at the AVIS location, the agent asked if I wanted to take a different vehicle. I agreed but specifically asked if I could switch later if needed. He assured me that I could. Then, instead of having the car ready, the agent decided to wash it while I waited—wasting 15-20 minutes of my time. A rental car should be prepared in advance, not cleaned at the last minute.
