I’ve been a long-time Avis corporate customer through and this was by far my worst rental experience at Avis Calgary (120 10th Avenue SW). Waited nearly an hour to get my car despite being an Avis Preferred member, with staff openly admitting they were not staffed to support Preferred customers. I had my rental for less than a day. I put 108 km on the car during that time, refuelled nearby, and dropped it off. There was a line of customers trying to pick up before closing time for the employee asked that I just hand him the keys and he'd check me in later. What a surprise to see that he marked me down as having an empty tank of gas in the car. Pretty amazing to use 40 L of gas for 108 km. Great service, and the lady at the front was really nice, but it's SO DAMN NARROW for huge trucks! Has a heck of a time taking a GMC Sierra out, and returning it here. Had to give up and park it beside a curb in this really TINY lot when I returned. Don't rent big trucks from here!
