We attempted to rent a vehicle for 5 days. Clerk was not helpful and ended up being rude and entitled, along with commentary and misinformation. Will not attempt to rent here again or refer this establishment.
UPDATE - The support was unable to help because my father threw away the reservation. When I mentioned asking our travel agent, he asked me to let it go. Out of respect for him I'm going to. The requests for emails are valid and lead to a resolution of your problem. ORIGINAL Important booking info was not shared with us. When we expressed our frustration, Emmery threw my father's ID and card on floor in front of him. She also canceled the reservation, disallowing us to work with a more competant employee.
DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM AVIS. I have used Avis before and never had problems until this recent time I rented a car from Oct. 3rd to Oct. 17th. I originally rented for 6 days then extended once and ended up returning the car a day late. I was completely aware of extra charges and fees and had no problem with that. The day I retuned the car I paid all my dues and with the time I had it up until I took it back I was charged 3 separate times with a total of $1,664.12. Yesterday morning I returned a van I rented. The guy told me there would be a $15 charge because I was maybe a hour late dripping off the van. That was fair. When I got home I looked at the receipt emailed to me and there was a $450 smoke fee!!! I don’t smoke at all. I had my son with me who has extreme asthma so even if I did smoke, I couldn’t with him.
