Super disappointed in Avis which is usually a great company. Rented a car there for my boss who was giving a speech in Baton Rouge. She arrived with her husband - no cars. They waited 45 minutes and were told there would possibly be no cars coming in. They were told they would receive a refund and they took an Uber from the airport. No refund came. Called Avis. Since it was booked via Auto Europe, they have to issue the refund. No refund so disputed with credit card company. No refund. No car, no cost to Avis, yet no refund.... read more
Avoid Avis completely. This company allows its local leadership to engage in what I believe to be predatory, retaliatory business practices. The management team at the airport location is completely unprofessional, rude, and unhelpful. After I escalated a legitimate customer complaint regarding my experience, regional management in my opinion weaponized a unsupported narrative against me. UPDATE: I recently rented with Avis again despite my previous experience. I have to say that my rental experience was an overall improvement from my rental experience in 2023. The desk was well staffed with polite and efficient employees, and we were able to get our car without too much trouble. They could use a few staff members in the parking lot to help with any problems that might occur but I do want to give them credit for improvement!
