Horrible, avoid at all costs, total nightmare! Return process for this location is terrible, dealing with bad customer service that lied about the return process to try and charge extra! If they tell you that you will receive in an email after the return in 10-15 minutes, you won't. Then there's no way to reach that location and your sent to a foreign customer service that tells you it will take 5-7 business days while your card is being charged. What a scam, avoid unless you want a really bad headache!!!

Rented from them twice within the last month- one way trips to and from LAX. On the pick up in SLO they called and requested that I instead pick up at the SLO airport cause they didn't have any cars, even though I had a reservation to pick that day. Then on the way back from LAX to SLO, I went to return the car at 8am when they open and there was a hand written note that they had stepped out for 15 minutes (I arrived at 7:55am), it had clearly been posted the evening before with no intention of showing up on time. I started to become an avid Avis renter and enjoyed the lower prices and easy parking at the Embassy Suites (compared to the airport). Even my interactions with the staff were generally pleasant, once you got over the non-standard rental arrangement and the less than clean cars (trash, left over cleaning wipes, etc.). However, all-in-all, my experience was okay...that is until a recent, random $250 charge on our credit card multiple weeks after we had returned our last vehicle. The lady who works in the office is very efficient and helpful. I've rented many cars from this location.
