I had to fly to IL unexpectedly due to the death of my sister. I needed to rent a car so I went to the Cherryvale Mall location. They had one car left. Even though the price online was $360.00 i was charged $586.00. I needed a car so there was nothing I could do. I left to pick up my granddaughter and great granddaughter from the airport. What a joke. I made my reservations over a week. I arrived an half hour early only to be to told my reservation was canceled, and they dont why. I never received an email that my reservation was being canceled. I asked if the rockford airport had cars, he didn't know but gave me the number. I called a d they had no cars. Whats crazy as Im waiting ,I received the email to start the rental process. I showed the email to the gentleman and he "so, its not going to make us have any cars" so unprofessional. Avis do better.
I rented a car two days in advance and when I got there first they didn't have the vehicle I had rented or similar which was a 4-door sedan and second they didn't want to give it to me because I paid with my debit card through the digital wallet with prepaid and for the deposit I gave my credit card, different number and they didn't want to give it to me, apparently they didn't have the vehicle available and the agent with a bad attitude didn't want to solve anything for us, he just said that I could make another reservation... read more
Don’t ever rent from Avis. We rented a “Premium Luxury” full size SUV for 2 weeks. It was reserved 8 weeks in advance. When we picked it up it was obvious the vehicle had not been cleaned in a long time. Candy was stuck to all the cup holders, sand all over the front and rear passenger seats, glovebox was sticky, and the center console had some drink spilled in it and all over it.
