Don’t ever rent from Avis. We rented a “Premium Luxury” full size SUV for 2 weeks. It was reserved 8 weeks in advance. When we picked it up it was obvious the vehicle had not been cleaned in a long time. Candy was stuck to all the cup holders, sand all over the front and rear passenger seats, glovebox was sticky, and the center console had some drink spilled in it and all over it. You guys should really look into who you hire for your customer facing help desk. My husband and I have never rented a vehicle before and who you had working was unhelpful, rude, and quite blatantly condescending. Really disappointing.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with the Avis Supervisor at the Rockford International Airport. The supervisor was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful when I inquired about my credit card benefits and upgrade status. When I asked about receiving an upgrade through my American Express Platinum benefits, he told me that “for what I paid for, I don’t get upgraded” and that I was getting “exactly what I paid for.” This was incredibly frustrating because, as an Amex Platinum member, I am entitled t... read more

I am a preferred customer with Avis, and I have never been treated so poorly than I did by the employee at the Avis rental at Rockford International Airport. He spoke rudely to me, denied my reserved rental because he my husband’s name was on my credit card and he wasn’t physically present. (We live in FL, and I was traveling for work) The guy clearly hates his job and maybe he should get out of customer service. I rent 10-12 cars from them annual just myself and I will be switching to another company for sure!
