I have used Avis for many years at various locations throughout the country, but have never had an occasion to rent a vehicle close to home. I recently reserved a specialty vehicle online for pick up the following morning at the Collinsville location. The location Agency Operator, Dallas Ligon, contacted me early on the morning of the proposed pick-up date to explain that they did not have that particular vehicle on the lot and that a two-day window is typically required. The experience was horrible! The owner Dallas tries to give you the highest priced rate that he can. He rented me a vehicle that needed an oil change knowing very well that I was taking a 14hr trip. I had to exchange the vehicle out once I arrived to my destination. Prior to returning the vehicle I called the office many times and never got an answer. I returned the vehicle 45 minutes late and Dallas the owner charged me an additional 50.00. I will never do business at that location again. This business does not deserve any ... read more
