Poor customer service experience, with over 90 minutes wait to get to the counter then get to the car. Got worse when the car model we booked was substituted for a smaller inferior car. The car we booked specifically was a RAV4 as it was big enough to fit 4 adults plus 4 large bags. The agent then argued the substituted Jeep Compass were similar size cars which was wrong as that car is smaller internally and more importantly the boot space was 30 percent smaller than the RAV. Initially had an issue with being overcharged, but Avis handled it quickly and professionally. Great response, smooth process, and refund sorted without hassle. All resolved – thank you.
This location does NOT have a key drop box for after-hour returns, despite the fact that the Avis website says it has. You will have to go back on the next morning to hand over the key to a staff member to complete the return. The staff was nice, but the line was very long; I waited ~45 mins to get my reserved car. The car I got was very new and had low mileage.
