My friend reserved a car so we could drive around for several hours after our cruise ship disembarked in Whittier. We arrived at 8:00 AM to pick up the car. The elderly gentleman at the rental office was exceptionally rude from the beginning. He gave us a car with a flat tire. Don’t come here. They just have one sentence, “we can’t do anything “. Even refuse to contact the rental company. Update: we have to drive back to Avis anchorage to finish the car exchange
Their phone number answers mail box full. The information Avis has about distance from the cruise terminal is out of date for the NCL terminal.
I was disgusted by its website. I was checking the price of renting a car from whittier to anchorage airport and saw the prices of around 200 dollars. I thought it was not bad and so continued to click next step and reserve, and then on the very page of reservation confirmation, I saw there was a 900 dollar one way fee added. And there was no turning back - as that's already the confirmation page and they only showed the fee after you reserve.
