Checkin 10 mins . No biggie.. Tried to give me a type of vehicle I did not reserve .I reserved 3 weeks ahead of time.. I pre checked in the day before.. After re requesting the type of vehicle that I reserved.. Desk attendant said they would bring car to front. 1/2 hr later attendant gave me key and a spot number on the lot.. Spot number was wrong.. Avis itself is showing cheaper prices, but it does not give you the service you expect. This location almost never answers the phone, run it with 1 person!! They charge $34.99 convenience fee on top of of the toll charges! Hertz only charge $9.99! What you think you save up front goes away with the fuel charge, which they don't inform you. I won't be using them in the future.
The absolute worst company to rent from. Save yourself time and money and take your business elsewhere. GO NEXT DOOR TO ENTERPRISE!!!
Today I returned my rental car at the Ocala Airport lication and told the lady at the counter that I had just filled the tank with gas. She asked if I wanted a receipt for the return — I said yes. When I looked at the receipt, I noticed a $35 charge for gas! I pointed it out right away, and she said, “Oh right, the gas.” It really felt like if I hadn’t asked for the receipt, I would have been charged for fuel I already replaced. CANT BELIEVE IT!!!I'll never rent another vehicle from them again. This wasn't our first time renting from Avis. Long story short. They sent us out, knowing we were going to Chattanooga TN from Ft Myers FL) in a full size SUV with wires showing and breaking on BOTH front tires !! Could of killed us !!
