Worst customer service ever !!! Check in very poor communication, couldn’t find the reservation my company booked bc they were looking at another company. The agent who was making the mistakes never apologized and just plain rude. The car was parked so close to the others, I could barely get out. Returning the car, I just had simple questions and the desk agent knew nothing, nothing at all. Literally didn’t even try. I hope my company takes their business elsewhere bc this was a nightmare

The short version. We booked a rental, we received a confirmation, we showed up to pick up our rental and was told they do not have our rental available. She stated someone tried to call us but the number she read off was not my husband or my number. We booked through Booking.com. I had also talked with an Avis representative earlier in the week to change the main driver and the lady did not say anything different. To begin, we had a nice snow day the day before picking up our rental. I left my husband to drive the rental home and I drove our own vehicle back home. The place didn’t even clear off the windows. I had already left my husband behind and so he had to clear all the windows of ice and snow the best he could WITH HIS BARE HANDS! Then, he gets the rental home. I go outside to check it out. A word of caution based on my experience… I made and confirmed a prepaid reservation on Monday, December 2nd for a vehicle to be picked up Thursday, December 5th. On Wednesday, December 4th, I received a call from Avis stating that no cars would be available and that my reservation would be canceled. Not a great situation, sure, but things happen, and I’m at least grateful that they gave 24 hours (and 8 minutes, to be exact) notice. Don’t book through Expedia and don’t trust they will notify you if they do not have a car. I reserved a Corolla for 3.5 days because of unexpected car troubles. I received a confirmation email from both Expedia and AVIS. I took an Uber to the airport. When I arrived, I was told they did not have any suitable cars. The employee said they have an SUV available for an extra $300. I inquired about a price-match: instead she responded by chiding me for booking on the same day (at 9:00 AM, pickup at 5:30 PM).
