I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Avis that I feel potential renters should be aware of. I initially booked a rental car for one day at $27 a day. The following morning, I called to extend my rental for four additional days, making it a total of five days. At that time, I was told I would remain locked in at the same $27 a day rate. Don't waste your time trying to rent a vehicle from here. if you already have a reservation cancel and book with another company or another location!! Rude no explanations they just said they have no cars and that's it. I asked what about my reservation and why wasn't I called they basically said they don't care 😂. Wouldn't have been so upset if the owner or representative just explained nicely and try to point me in the right direction. Instead of being rude and short and basically say get lost

Terrible, terrible, terrible. We showed up at the time to pick up our prepaid car. Cesar Chavez who was there at the time nonchalantly told us there are no cars. No other explanation or apology. We asked what to do. He said we can get a car from any other Avis, including in Canada and Australia. We asked what we should do now. He said to go to another Avis. We came to Alhambra and they charged us $150 more and again.

Like everyone else leaving reviews here, I made the mistake of making a reservation with this location, in my case MONTHS in advance. Didn't matter, they didn't have my car, and I was left scrambling to find a rental the day my flight arrived. Avis should be ashamed of this provider and get rid of the ownership.
