We Had reserved a car online, went in to pickup the rental car and was informed by Bekka they would be adding additional fees totaling over $400! After repeatedly asking what the fees were for with no valid answer she then informed us they can add any fees for any reason because they are privately owned. I laughed because what? After a miserable experience with a flat tire, hours on the phone with Avis roadside assistance, and zero help at the Dayton airport location (where we were directed to go by customer service), we were exhausted and frustrated. Thankfully, this location turned everything around and helped us immediately once we walked through the door. Rented a 7 passenger suv for the weekend, turned out I only needed a 5 passenger. They gave me a 5 passenger, although the difference in price was about $50/ day they discounted my reservation $25 total. Then I dropped it off full. The total they charged me was nearly $100 more than my original reservation. I called Avis, they said it was a cleaning fee however there were no notes or photos and of course no one notified me. WOW, where do I even begin... so first off we received the rental (van) with 3/4 tank of gas, the inside of the van was stained and not very clean. No big deal though, we load up and head towards the beach! After about 10 hours into our 11 1/2 hour trip we get pulled over by a sheriff , (great guy by the way) he informs us that our tags are over a year expired and asked for registration, we informed him it was a rental and we couldn't provide a registration, he gave us a ticket and wished us a safe trip.
