No one ever answers the phone at the airport location. No emailed receipt or agreement. Incompetent saleswoman had never done a long term rental and screwed up the dates.
I don't know the name of the woman who was at the AVIS desk today, Thursday, October 9, 2025, but she's the rudest, most arrogant, rude, and unprofessional person ever. Someone should give her customer service training. She needs it URGENTLY.
We rented a 12 passenger van from South Bend for company coming to town and needed every bit of this space (for 10 people plus luggage!). We reserved the van well over a month in advance. We get a call an hour and a half before designated pick up time and they inform us that they don’t have a van. They gave us an excuse that we’ve heard before and now we’re scrambling at the last minute. Terrible, terrible service!
I had a terrible experience with Avis. I accidentally left my AirPods in the rental car and have been trying to contact them for over two weeks — no one ever answers the phone or returns my calls. On top of that, the car they gave me was in awful condition and definitely not worth the price. Extremely unprofessional service. I would not recommend this location to anyone.
I am giving only one star because there is no way to contact anyone at THIS LOCATION. No one picks up the direct number, it just forwards to the 800 number. I have filled out the lost and found report online regarding an item I forgot in the rental car. I have tried repeatedly to get in touch someone with NO RESPONSE! Very frustrated! UPDATE…I emailed as instructed and I have still gotten NO WHERE. Most likely I am communicating with robots that are repeating the same thing over and over. GOOD BYE AVIS
