Very bad experience with this Avis location. We booked a car for $300(prepaid)and they didn’t have a car for the day, so instead of they cancelling the rental they gave us a 800 number to call and cancel. Now we have to pay for a reservation that couldn’t make happen and this is atrocious. No rental car place should be this reckless and unprofessional.
Made reservations to pick up car....got there and no cars were available....yes I know it's the holidays...a Cursity phone call could have been made.....GENTLEMEN WAS WORKING ALONE ON A SATURDAY.....felt like my time was a waste
When reading the reviews, I was a little worried, but I was shown the opposite of what I thought I would. Originally, I came in on a weekend to find out they didn't rent Uber on weekends. I accepted it, and the manager was extremely helpful in explaining their entire process, and even took the time to make sure my next reservation for today was set right and wrote my name and number down for the employees the next day in case he didn't see me. Shout out to Mr. Patrick in the front office he made the process of renting a vehicle very easy. Excellent customer service.
It’ll be nice if uber and this place can communicate when it comes to what days and times you can pick up a car for uber as I was never told they don’t do weekends. It’s inconvenience and y’all need a whole new team to work at this location. I liked it better when we could go to the hertz location off Whitehall and get a car for only Uber driving before Covid happened. It was always a smooth process there
