Very friendly customer service from Sabrina!
The first car we were given had a torn up steering wheel, chunks of the tire were missing, and the check engine light was on. The second car we were "given" was double booked and was given to someone else. The third car we were offered had 60% battery and smelled like cigarette smoke. It took a full hour to get a car. Two days after I returned by car, I was sent a $600 bill for a fictitious second rental. I called Avis to remedy this, they said it was removed, and then they charged me anyway. (We had earlier reserved a rental car) When I got out of the airport with my kids, we saw a Avis shuttle passing by. We tried to catch it but it drove past us and didn't notice us. We waited an hour and we still don't see any Avis shuttle. Finally we gave up and called Avis. They said that they were out of rental cars and they stopped running the shuttles. A lot to be desired. I had a very disappointing experience with this car rental company. From the moment I arrived, the staff seemed careless and completely uninterested in providing decent customer service. Simple questions were met with attitude, and no one took the time to properly explain the rental terms or walk me through the vehicle condition.
