HORRIBLE place to rent a car. We were in California on family emergency. It ran over and we were 3 1/2 hours away and could not return the car on time. We tried to call multiple times to extend without success. They charged us double the price for returning it late. I've done this with other rentals and never treated this way. I won't be doing business with them ever!
On June 8th my wife went into Avis because her car at Hertz was not there. She went over to Avis and asked if they could match hertz price. She requested to decline all insurance and wanted to return the car on the 19th. Evidently to match the price the counterperson put down the return date as the 15th instead of the 19th. He also snuck in the loss damage waiver. My wife initialed and signed without reading what he did.
