I rented a car legally from this Avis location without doing anything at all (or even speaking to anyone at all) and ended up on the Do Not Rent list. I am trying very hard to get myself removed to get my job back and it's extremely difficult.
So insanely rude. No reason behind it. Telling me I cut the line when I waited in line… they are treating the whole line terribly. There are 10 other options from Newark. AVOID!
I've probably done 200+ car rentals, but this time it was such a bad experience, one of the worst, that I had to write this review warning others not to book from here or really Avis in general. I booked a car for 2 days here and initially my selected option was not available. No problem, happens all the time. But I had opted for a smaller sportier car, they initially tried to give me an SUV but driving in NYC with an SUV is extremely annoying. But eventually I had to convince them to give me a sedan.
