Absolutely horrible customer service from the Avis location in Simi Valley. I made a reservation expecting a car to be available, only to be told four hours before pickup that there were no cars available. What is the purpose of making a reservation if the company can’t honor it? People plan their schedules around these bookings, so being notified at the last minute is completely unacceptable. My experience with Avis on May 30th was, without question, the worst rental car experience I have ever had. Two weeks in advance, I reserved a 12-passenger van for a group of 10 people. In the days leading up to my reservation, I received multiple reminder emails from Avis confirming my upcoming rental, including one the morning of pickup, giving every indication that my vehicle would be ready as reserved. Good service!
Daisy called and pushed it to 6 hours later, then called and canceled and said she had nothing to offer me. Yet I can go online and book it right now for $30 more. they are denying me a car because of the rate I was guaranteed. Then I call to make a complaint and customer service gives me the run around. She tells me there is a car there for me. which is it? Daisy and Avis are running a scam to only accept reservations for the best rates. This is ILLEGAL
